Yesterday, students of Rongo University protested the elections of executives accusing the delegates of rigging the results.
The students accused the delegates of voting in a person who bribed them with Kshs. 5,000 each contrary to their wishes.
The school now has two ‘presidents’, one for the delegate president and the other for comrades.
Police were called in to quell the protests. They fired teargas causing numerous stampedes across the institution.
A video shows students running helter-skelter. Another shows the police assaulting some students.
Hey, Matiang’i, Boinnet, Hillary Mutyambai and CS Magoha, this is not how to treat students.
