Kianjokoma made it back to the headlines earlier today after fresh protests rocked the infamous market in Embu County where two young brothers Emmanuel (19) and Benson Ndwiga (22) memorably lost their lives while in police custody in July 2021.
Almost a year later, on Sunday, 17th April 2022, residents were once again up in arms against ill-mannered actions by the police.
The demonstrations came moments after a controversial hit and run incident involving one of their speeding vehicles and a bodaboda rider.
The accident reportedly left the rider seriously injured.
This prompted the raging mob to march all the way to Kianjokoma Police Station in search of justice for their colleagues.
But the riders who went to report the incident were chased away by the officers leading to a serious uproar.
