Only God will save this company. There is a huge scandal being cooked at the Geothermal Development Corporation (GDC) which is under Cabinet Secretary Charles Keter and Principal Joseph Njoroge. Do you remember that Communication Manager Ruth Musembi? Yes, the woman who tried to sneak into GDC a PR Agency? The bootlicker woman who resigned then miraculously returned to her comfortable job?

Good. It appears that the CEO Johnson Ole Nchoe is playing some games. The CEO is said to have retained her even when her contract ended on August 31 2017. This is a big scandal on employment that is facing this GDC. There is impunity considering that Ruth Musembi is the most incompetent manager ever as our investigations show. The former primary school teacher has messed up with the communication department at GDC reducing it to a shell. She runs the show as if GDC is her bedroom, but the CEO is charmed. Our deep, long, and authoritative investigation show that the CEO who is also running GDC as if it is a manyatta has failed to generate electricity in menengai where government investment is rotting and rusting away. This CEO is unfit to run any complex government project.
Back to Ruth Musembi and her survival tactics at GDC. You rememebr she is a bootlicker and apparently according to sources she feels intellectually threatened by juniors.
On March 27, 2015 Ruth Musembi resigned and asked for her pension. her ego had been crashed when she was demoted and was to report to a general manager. Her other evil plan at GDC had also failed.
After four months, the GDC board of directors employed her again through the back door contravening labour laws and advise from Human Resource and Company Secretary.
In June-July 2016, she hatched a plot to hire her own PR agency in the event that she is kicked out of GDC. The plan backfired when staff busted her plans. All the 28 staff disgruntled by her poor management collected signatures accusing her of impunity, incompetence, high-handedness and madharau madharau. But the CEO was already in the box, and foolishly transferred everyone as a means of punishment. You only do such a move in a manyatta.
In 2016 August, Johnson Ole Nchoe and the GDC board members renewed her contract without advertising. We also authoritatively confirmed that her salary was increased. (Note that the GDC board is pathetic and has failed to provide leadership. Keter should disband it before we expose it).
In June 2017 The CEO and Ruth Musembi hatched a stupid plan and advertised the post internally. The advert which was crafted by Ruth Musembi conveniently asked for 12 years of experience as a manager. Mark you, when GDC advertised for the post of General Managers it asked for five years experience. See, who is fooling who? It is clear that this was a plot to lock out other younger, competent, intelligent and professional staff in the department. Thanks to the staff union, the internal advert was silently pulled out. The company advertised externally and even reduced the number of years from 12 to five.
However, there is more than meet the eyes. Our investigation has shown that at GDC there are six vacant post for managers, but they were not advertised. What is the hurry to fill only one post? Why didn’t GDC advertised all the posts that are vacant? Does the CEO listen to the advise of senior managers or is he operating just with Ruth Musembi?
We know that Ruth Musembi who worked at NEMA had a lot of problems with staff. The same bad habit was brought in to GDC. Our investigation show that she cannot work with bright people. She has failed to develop the communication department at GDC. She has no any technical skills based on available information and therefore very unfit to manage.
Then, we have also gathered information, including video and telephone conversations that the CEO wants to rig this woman back to GDC for a period of four years. We are warning that GDC and Nchoe stop this illegal hiring practice that favours prayer partners or we will marshall Kenyans to go to court. We will also spill other juicy illegalities that go on in GDC including high level nepotism where clan and family members from Narok are the only ones being hired even before they completed school. Mr Nchoe, the choice is yours. Stop this nonsense and hire the best qualified professionals.
