The Nation Media Group is under fire from social media users over the story of Ms Maureen Mung’ohe Musungu, a business and information technology student at Strathmore University who went missing for two weeks.
She said she had been locked up at a friend’s apartment in Athi River, Machakos County, something the socials have taken issue with.
According to the student, the man claimed to have misplaced his keys, so they had no option but to stay in the house for two weeks where she survived on noodles and was not allowed to shower or make calls for the entire period.

But many social media users are doubting the whole thing, with others claiming that Nation Media group is under payroll to ensure that the male friend is jailed
