The Kenyan Immigration Department faced heavy criticism this morning after posting a picture displaying their newly acquired fleet of vehicles meant to “boost the crackdown on illegal immigrants in the country”.
Kenyans felt the move was highly unnecessary and that the department should have sorted out the basics first before jumping into purchasing the 13 double cabin vehicles.
Here is what they had to say.
Crackdown on illegal immigrants starts with paperwork..not roaming & running across Kenya…this isn't the US-Mexico border….waste of taxpayers money… https://t.co/YNi9J4LBQk

What has the immigration done about the Arabs selling cookery and cutlery in Nairobi estates. Surely how can we allow foreign hawkers to roam freely in our country? Can a Kenyan be allowed to hawk freely in Turkey??

How about you provide papers for printing birth certificates before you buy these cars? 3 months later and we can’t get birth certificates because there aren’t papers for printing. Waaauu
