Until Joseph Mutua’s first arrest, very little was known about one Martino Kitio. Other than his familiar face across Nairobi’s hottest Night Clubs and Pubs, Martino Kitio had been performing great at keeping his lifestyle private and anonymous.
Mr. Martino got introduced to Mr. Joseph Mutua via an acquaintance. Later on, Mr. Joseph Mutua would get employed by Martino (as an errand boy). In line with his work duties, Joseph Mutua would pick and drop off packages for Mr. Martino. Little did Joseph know that he was making his own guillotine. On one unfortunate day, things changed permanently and Mr. Joseph Mutua was caught up by the long arm of the law.
In criminal Revision No. 166 of 2017, reportedly, Mr. Joshua Mutua was charged with five counts of trafficking narcotic drugs as contrary to Section 4(a) of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Control Act. Inter alia, he was also charged with unlawful possession of an identity card belonging to other persons as Contrary to Section 14 of the Registration of Persons Act.
In true drug dealer’s language of masquerading and deceiving, Mr. Joseph Mutua had been arrested for attempting to export Ketamine, a controlled substance, to the United States. However, neither did he enter into a plea agreement nor give up his drug connection links. Supposably for fear of the unknown.
Consequently, Mr. Joseph Mutua got convicted by a court of law in early 2019. Since Mr. Mutua was serving a concurrent sentence, he was released by the end of that year. However, no sooner was he out of prison than he got word that he had been fired by Mr. Martino. An act that left him devastated considering how loyal and ‘quiet’ he had stayed. Furthermore, he was jobless, desperate, and was involved in another drug trafficking case.

The testimonies are from an ongoing criminal case where Mr. Joseph Mutua is facing a drug trafficking charge. So, who is Mr. Matino Kitio?
Martino Kitio is of Italian and Cameroonian descent. He is rumored to have schooled at Peponi school. While at the school, Mr. Martino interacted with fellow ‘cool kids’- kids of the important people in society. Also, he was an undisciplined genius known for causing trouble. Eventually, Mr. Martino Kitio graduated with good grades and was able to pursue Higher Learning in England via a University scholarship.
Through his connections with Nairobi cool kids, it is said that Mr. Martino can easily find a market for whatever products he wants to push. In fact, in the ongoing-aforementioned case, Mr. Martino Kitio is set to be issued with witness summons (at the court’s discretion). As to why the accused want him summoned is still a mystery. Nonetheless, Mr. Martino Kitio remains a suspect in an international ring of illegal substance exporters.
Furthermore, Martino’s international links expound past the African borders to capture the American, Canadian, and European markets. Of course, this is possible because Martino has links to rich and well-connected people. Reportedly, he is motivated by the assumption that if the rich Nairobi ‘cool kids’ get arrested, then their parents would bail them out with ease.
As aforementioned, Mr. Martino is a genius. Hearsay states that he was first among his peers to discover the dark web. Furthermore, Martino’s dealings involve cryptocurrencies such as bitcoins and Ethereum. On one occasion, it is said that he won big money on online casino gambling. It is with such shrewdness that Mr. Martino has managed to hide from the public.
Trouble with the police.
The police have for long been on the radar of Mr. Martino Kitio. According to our sources, Martino and his accomplices have been getting lucky on several occasions. It is only a matter of time until they are all nabbed. His associates spanning from Italians, Asians, and some of his properties in Kangemi, Loresho, and Kajiado are being closely monitored by police detectives.
Furthermore, it does not help that his father, Dr.Vincent Kitio, is a United Nations diplomat. Reportedly, Dr. Kitio pulls the ‘diplomatic immunity card’ whenever the heat gets too much and his son gets in trouble. Additionally, acquaintances to Mr. Martino Kitio say that he always flies out of Kenya, into possibly Europe or Cameroon, whenever things get out of hand.
