Mediheal hospital owned by the corrupt MP Dr. Swarup Ranjan Mishra has been linked to social media campaigns aimed at tarnishing the image of their competitors, cnyakundi.com has been informed.
The intention is to divert customers to his facilities, a poor strategy that may turn out to be a huge embarrassment.
In February this year, a TV interview turned into a huge embarrassment for the Kesses MP after the host Trevor Ombija firmly reminded the first term MP that a patient was detained at his Nakuru hospital for a Sh2 million debt.
Dr Mishra, a vice chairman at the National Assembly’s Health Committee oblivious of the impending question by a viewer – had earlier condemned hospitals that detain patients unable to settle their bills.
Dr Mishra almost stammered when he tried to wriggle himself out saying he is unaware as he doesn’t run his chain of hospitals. “I had told my General Managers … to release them. After this show, I will check … ” to which Ombija insisted that the MP had made a commitment on a live TV and as such he was bound to fulfilling.
Apart from illegally exposing patient confidentiality on order to win clients Mishra and his crooked managers have been accused of questionable billing and holding of too many logbooks and title deeds which are mostly redeemed by the hospital
