The week has been marked with drama between Mathare branch Sonko Rescue team Chairperson Mathias Owino popularly known as Swaleh Mbuvi Sonko and the Killer Cop Hesy wa Dandora.
In a video that went viral on social media Swaleh was captured saying that he had recovered an illegal AK47 from a ‘reformed’ Thug who hails from mathare whose identity was not revealed in the clip. Swaleh added that he was to present the firearm to his boss, Governor Mike Sonko. (Video attached)
The video was met with mixed reaction from netizens with some concluding that the so called Swaleh is part of the gang that has been terrorizing Mathare residents for long. With others questioning credibility of Sonko rescue team in reforming the Kenyan youths.
Killer cop famously known as Hesy wa Dandora while commenting on the clip, termed the confession as pure nonsense that should not be accepted. Hesy added that Swaleh was out playing mind games with matters of security. He urged Swaleh to stop the theatrics and follow the due process in returning the firearm in the presence of cameras or else they will come for it themselves.
In a twist of turn Swaleh has retracted his sentiments captured in the video claiming that they were not true. Speaking to a local radio station Swaleh said that he was under influence of alcohol and that he had not recovered any firearm. He apologized to Mike sonko for tarnishing the name of Sonko Rescue Team in public.
Reacting to the above Hesy wa Dandora in a Facebook post has issued 72 hours ultimatum for Swaleh and his crew to peacefully surrender the said AK47 rifle and any other illegal firearm in their position to the nearest police station without being forced or face unspecified consequence.
Swaleh is also facing several accusations of seeking sexual favors from ladies in return to securing jobs at Sonko rescue team.
