It has come to my notice that many DHL EXPRESS UGANDA staff are going through bad times. When you see adverts say the dhl is the most international company you would think the staff are being taken care of.


Its believed that to get a profitable network and repeat customers it all has to stem from motivated workers (employees). But do you want to achieve the above if the workers are unhappy…


Treat your staff as human beings. This goes to those from the very top.. They are not robots. Even robots shut down when over worked. We all understand that they applied for the jobs and thank you for employing them but treat them as humans as you are human too. Is this because we are in Africa that you have to treat your employees as nothing?


Motivation Zero.. when the company achieves its targets the top management (UGANDA OFFICE) are the ones that celebrate. (Going for trips over the weekend).


couriers are at work by 5am till they do their last delivery or pick up. No over time whatsoever. They have families like the bosses do.. Yes we all know they applied for a job but let their sweat have some thing to take home. I Believe if it were the managers in the lower positions they wouldn’t be happy.


One other thing I learnt was that for an employee to go for leave, they have to first get someone to fill the desk in their absence. Failure to do so one can’t go for leave. Is that proper? The company knows that every employee is entitled to leave days so the company should have stand by back up not the employees to get back.


Be managers that take care of their people. Be a good shepherd to your folk. Your employees love their work but the treatment they receive makes them hate the job A LOT.


When someone puts front their problem in the end it turns around you as if you weren’t to say you have a problem. Your looked at as a bad employee.


Even when they air out their  problems nothing seems to be done at all.




I believe the management should change. People that have their workers at heart. Treat other as you would love to be treated.


Human Resources, Sales Manager, Customer  care manager and managing Director, Change your leadership skills. That is not how to treat your workmates.  As for the Managing Director that tells off workers that she can fire you at anyone moment and bring in someone that can do the job is really alarming. YOU ARE FRUSTRATING THE WORKERS.


SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE.. There is so much to going on in DHL UGANDA.
