His scandals: Newly appointed Plan International CEO is Ugandan, not Kenyan

FRAUDULENT: Stephen Omollo – Plan International. The organization deals in children’s rights and equality for girls

Githeri media splashed news all over calling the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Plan International Mr Stephen Omollo, a Kenyan yet he is Ugandan.

There are some things that that boldness and inserting the world Kenyan in the headlines does, it hides one’s past; and Nationa Media Group, the Star and others just did that.

Man of scandals

Mr Omollo (there are Luos in Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya, hence this name), is said to be running away from World Vision after a spate of corrupt practices.

Source say that he clashed with World Vision International Board for stalling World Vision in Kenya.

He was also accused of irregular Appointments of staff to Senior positions especially Women. The case in point is the appointment of Ugandan Tina Mukunda to position of Country Director despite being accused of arrogance and high handedness which had made her transferred from World Vision Uganda to World Vision Kenya in the first place.

Her (Ms Mukunda) transfer was viewed as protecting her and cooling things as he “prepare” her for the position despite the accusations.

The said Tina Mukunda was recently promoted from Operations Director in Kenya to Country Director World Vision Eswatini.

Mr Omollo was also known to fiercely protect the current World Vision, a Zimbabwean named Lillian Dodzo who is accused of laxity, laziness, arrogance and leading a ‘one man show’ which has led to shrinking donor funding.

Ms Dodzo is also accused of appointing people who lack the prerequisite qualifications.

“She appoints young men particularly from the coast in positions of Influence despite clear lack of qualifications,” a source told cnyakundi.com.

Does Stephen Omollo have a work permit to work in Kenya?
