The High Court on Wednesday directed Mama Ida Odinga and Fidel Odinga’s widow, Lwam Bekele, to settle their law suit out of court before November 27.
The two have been in contest over the inclusion of twins said to have been sired by the late Fidel in the distribution of his estate.
The court has further ordered that the mother of the twins, Ms Phoebe Ogweno, be included in the deliberations.

Ogweno had earlier made an application to the court seeking to be enjoined in the case as an interested party.
“The intended interested party and her children have been left in between and owing to that, she seeks leave of the court to be enjoined as an interested party to clear the air and give her position on the same,” her lawyer John Swaka argued.
Ugly side of Odingas’ court battle
The suit has brought to light private details of the Odinga family life after the passing of their eldest son in 2015.
In court papers, Mama Ida described Lwam as a neglectful mother to her son stating that she could also not be trusted as an administrator to Fidel’s estate because she seemingly left out part of his wealth when declaring the deceased Odinga’s possessions.

“It is not in dispute that Ms Bekele was the legally married wife to the late Fidel (sic). But we are worried that the child Fidel left behind may not be adequately provided for.
“The proposed administrators cannot be entrusted alone to faithfully administer according to the law the estate of the deceased and render a true and just account of such estate. Ms Bekele has deliberately failed to include and provide or otherwise show intention of providing for the said minors, hence a red flag on her intention,” court papers read.
