Complaint from EKA Hotel staff

Hi Mr Nyakundi,

I am a worker at Soaring Eagle restaurant (Spur) its located at Eka hotel.

These people are mistreating people; they don’t pay people well.

Since it was opened, after the lockdown, people are working from morning to 9 oclock. They leave work late hours but the payment is small at only Sh400 a day.

This money is not enough to pay bills.

They also pay only worked days, kama wahindi wanyanyasaji

Kindly intervene, we need justice we are being frustrated. No one can help us even the Human Resource does not defend us.

The accounts department is taking advantage of the poor workers.

How can they overwork people from morning to nine oclock then they pay 400bob?  does Kenya labor laws allow people to be mistreated?

Before the Covid-19, imagine the net salary was Sh12000 and people work close their shift late night.

I will appreciate for your help they need to face law for violating workers right and under paying their staff and also for talking advantage of workers.
