Kevian Limited has not issued a statement to tell the public what happened in Kariobangi more than 10 hours after photos of their juice product Afia in a dumpsite at Kariobangi Nairobi went viral.
Kenyans are now concerned about their welfare. It seems like the juice maker was cutting corners by having their products manufactured in Kariobangi Light Industries.
Kariobangi Lighty as it is popularly known is notorious for manufacturing counterfeit products.
The photos showed reportedly expired Afia juice inside their paper crates with residents scavenging to take whatever they could to resell later in and around Nairobi.
According to a resident who sent a message to Nyakundi, the ‘salvaged’ juice will be sold in and around bus stops and Kibandas.
“Tumepelekea wamama wa vibanda hapa Kariobangi, Buruburu, Dandora na Umoja. Wanasema watachanganya na juice wauze mtaani”, the source also revealed what some street kids had told him.
Nairobians are in danger of catching diseases even as NEMA and Nairobi Public Health officials are asleep.
It should not be lost on Kenyans that last year 2019, many Nairobians complained about being diagnosed with H-Pylori and Amoeba. The County department of public health had not inspected the hotels in Nairobi for more than a year.
Cnyakundi.com cannot confirm that that has changed because, with Mike Sonko the chokoraa, mediocrity reigns supreme.
How can a multi-million company like Kevian lack a proper waste disposal mechanism?
Was Kevian aware of the Kariobangi manufacturing ring or was their consent from the company to have lighty produce products for them to maximize profits?
